The Laser Engraving Process
The laser engraving process uses a laser beam to penetrate the finish of the writing instrument, exposing the base metal below the finish. A laser engraved imprint is actually burned into the casing of the writing instrument with a laser beam and will not wear off.

Block and Script Engraving
Laser engraving in either our standard block or script engraving does not require a set-up charge. Pictured on the opposite page are examples of block and script engraving both in one- and two-line formats. Upper and lower case block is also available.

Laser Logos
Laser logos can be created in two styles: simple outline and filled-in. Programming and run charges are assessed for laser engraved logos. The cost of a filled-in laser logo is higher than the cost of a simple outline laser logo because of the extended amount of time necessary to program the logo and the longer running time per piece required in production.

Desk Set Discs
An engraveable disc in matte black, brass, or chrome is available in place of our photo logo in the desk set discs. Normal engraving costs apply. Examples of block, outline, and filled-in laser logos are shown on the opposite page.

Laser Engraving Colors
The engraving color will be similar to the trim on each pen or pencil except for the following finishes: pearl white, matte gray, all Stylus/Pen Combo models, and Series 200/250 Pocket Pens (except for chrome, Duragold® and Duralac™) will have a gold tone finish. Duragold and chrome will have a jeweler's tone-on-tone finish. Duralac pens will have a platinum tone finish.
